Stanley D. Gehrt, PhD

Dr. Stan Gehrt is the Principal Investigator of the Ohio Coyote Project. Research interests include urban wildlife ecology, emerging infectious diseases in wildlife, and behavioral ecology of carnivores, with a special emphasis on intraguild relationships between mesopredators. He serves as the Chair of Research for the Max McGraw Wildlife Foundation and has directed the Urban Coyote Research Project, based in the Chicago Metropolitan Area, since 2000. Dr. Gehrt is also the senior editor of Urban Carnivores: Ecology, Conflict, and Conservation, a publication from Johns Hopkins University Press.
