Stanley D. Gehrt, PhD

Professor and Wildlife Extension Specialist, The Ohio State University

Dr. Stan Gehrt is the Principal Investigator of the Ohio Coyote Project. Research interests include urban wildlife ecology, emerging infectious diseases in wildlife, and behavioral ecology of carnivores, with a special emphasis on intraguild relationships between mesopredators.

Charlotte Milling, PhD

Assistant Professor, Eastern Washington University

Dr. Charlotte Milling is a co-PI on the Ohio Coyote Project. She is a behavioral ecologist specializing in movement, space use, and resource selection.

Courtney Anderson

PhD Student, The Ohio State University

Courtney is a PhD student working on the project. Her interests are in intraguild carnivore dynamics, human dimensions of carnivore conservation, and wildlife education.

Hunter Slear

The Ohio State University

Hunter Slear graduated from Juniata College in 2022 with a BS in Wildlife Conservation. He is an avid hunter, trapper, and fisherman and prefers to spend most of his time in the field. Throughout his time as an undergraduate and post baccalaureate, Hunter worked for numerous wildlife and environmental conservation agencies.

Abby Thiemkey

Alumni, The Ohio State University

Abby’s research focused on coyote ecology and livestock management throughout the state of Ohio. She worked on investigating regional variations in diet and demography of coyotes throughout the state.
